Chairman Senate Syed Yousaf Raza Gillani’s parliamentary diplomacy receives global recognition.

The Inter-Parliamentary Speakers Conference praised his active role and visionary leadership.

Islamabad (Izhhar Khan Niazi) The Inter-Parliamentary Speakers Conference has acknowledged Chairman Senate Syed Yousaf Raza Gillani’s continuous efforts to promote parliamentary diplomacy and strengthen Pakistan’s ties with parliaments around the world. This recognition was given in acknowledgment of his leadership and active role at the second Inter-Parliamentary Speakers Conference held from August 26 to 28, 2026, in Phnom Penh, Cambodia.

In a letter addressed to the Chairman Senate, ISC Secretary-General Ek Nath Dhakal expressed gratitude on behalf of the ISC and the President of the Senate of Cambodia, Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen, for his participation and valuable contributions at the conference. The letter also paid tribute to Syed Yousaf Raza Gillani as the founding chairman of the Inter-Parliamentary Speakers Conference.

The Chairman Senate’s parliamentary diplomacy is based on peace, dialogue, mutual understanding, peaceful resolution of conflicts, and the promotion of cooperation among nations. His continuous interactions with speakers, parliamentary heads, and leaders worldwide have played a significant role in strengthening inter-parliamentary connections and institutional relationships.

The second Inter-Parliamentary Speakers Conference was held on the theme “Solidarity for Peace and Shared Prosperity—Measures for the Stability of International Law and Peaceful Resolution of Conflicts,” where parliamentary leaders from various countries deliberated on important global issues including peace, international cooperation, and peaceful conflict resolution. Syed Yousaf Raza Gillani reaffirmed Pakistan’s commitment to dialogue, multilateral cooperation, and respect for international law from the conference platform.

As the founding chairman, Syed Yousaf Raza Gillani has continuously played a role in making parliamentary diplomacy an effective means of promoting understanding and cooperation at the global level.
