An important meeting was held between the National Bank of Pakistan and the All Pakistan Railways Pensioners Association regarding the timely payment of pensions and the resolution of issues faced by pensioners. The National Bank assured that starting this month, pensions for railway pensioners would be credited directly through the Main Disbursing Branch in Lahore.

According to Secretary General of the All Pakistan Railways Pensioners Association, Aurangzeb Tanoli, the meeting at the National Bank of Pakistan Head Office in Lahore involved detailed discussions on complaints regarding delays in pension payments and other matters. The meeting was attended by Muhammad Akbar Ashraf, SVP/REO Central Region Lahore, Muhammad Adil, VP/Operations NBP Main Branch, Muhammad Iqbal, OG-II/Incharge Salary and Pension, and Syed Faheem Alam, VP/RSM/RHQ Lahore OP Department from the National Bank, while the association was represented by Secretary General Aurangzeb Tanoli, Vice President Muhammad Maqsood, Secretary Press and Information Mian Sohail Anwar, and Assistant Secretary Coordination Tariq Mahmood. All matters were discussed in a pleasant and positive atmosphere. It was also agreed to send a letter to the relevant authorities regarding mutual consultation and to request the cancellation and withdrawal of the complaints under consideration. On this occasion, Muhammad Akbar Ashraf, SVP/REO Central Region Lahore, thanked the participants, especially the association’s delegation, for their positive, constructive, and cooperative attitude.
