The Traffic Police continues its unbiased actions against traffic violations. In August of this year, legal actions were taken against more than 44,000 vehicles and motorcyclists.

Islamabad (Crime Reporter) The Traffic Police continues its unbiased actions against traffic violations. In August of this year, legal actions were taken against more than 44,000 vehicles and motorcyclists. A total of 6,502 vehicles and motorcycles were impounded at various police stations. 544 cases were registered for serious traffic violations, while over 72,000 citizens and students were provided with special awareness regarding traffic laws. According to details, under the special directives of Inspector General of Police Islamabad Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi, the Islamabad Traffic Police is taking vigorous steps to ensure a coordinated traffic system, better travel facilities for citizens, and effective enforcement of traffic laws in the federal capital. In this regard, during the month of August, the Islamabad Traffic Police took legal actions against 44,078 vehicles, motorcyclists, freight, and public transport vehicles for violations of traffic laws. During the special campaign of the Islamabad Traffic Police, legal actions were taken against 14,725 motorcyclists and 29,353 vehicles. Similarly, 2,662 motorcycles and 3,840 vehicles were impounded at various police stations for serious traffic violations, and 544 cases were also registered. The Islamabad Traffic Police is continuing special measures to promote awareness of traffic laws and responsible driving among citizens. In this context, the Education Wing of the Islamabad Traffic Police organized 76 awareness workshops at public places, government and private institutions, schools, colleges, and universities, where 72,737 citizens and students were educated about traffic laws, safe driving, and responsible behavior on the roads. Chief Traffic Officer Islamabad Kainat Azhar Khan stated that enforcement of traffic laws is not just a matter of fines or legal actions, but a guarantee for the protection of precious human lives and a safe travel environment. He urged citizens to fully comply with traffic laws while driving, adhere to speed limits, ensure motorcyclists wear helmets, and follow all traffic regulations including lane discipline. He further stated that the aim of the Islamabad Traffic Police is not to create unnecessary difficulties for citizens but to provide them with a safe and organized traffic system. Violations of traffic laws pose a risk not only to the driver and other citizens’ lives but also affect the flow of traffic; therefore, unbiased actions against violations will continue. The CTO of Islamabad further mentioned that the Islamabad Traffic Police is also focusing on awareness and education alongside law enforcement so that citizens voluntarily consider adherence to traffic laws as their responsibility. Only through mutual cooperation between citizens and the traffic police can a safe, organized, and smooth traffic system be established in the federal capital. He expressed the commitment that the Islamabad Traffic Police will continue to utilize all available resources to prevent accidents, ensure traffic flow, enforce the law uniformly, and provide citizens with the best travel facilities.
