Daud Khel (Zia Niazi) – Deputy Commissioner Shahid Abbas visited Mianwali city accompanied by relevant officials. During the visit, the Deputy Commissioner reviewed various development projects, green belts, and the cleanliness system. He inspected the green belts being constructed along the Mianwali-Kala Bagh Road and the newly planted saplings, appreciating the efforts of the forestry department for proper maintenance of the green belts, and instructed them to ensure the care of the newly planted saplings on a daily basis. The Deputy Commissioner also inspected the newly constructed bridge on Thal Canal at GPO Chowk and directed the highway department officials to implement safety measures around the bridge and install curb stones along the adjacent roads. Shahid Abbas visited Maryam Nawaz Medical College and reviewed the ongoing construction and renovation works in the academic block. He instructed the building department officials to expedite the installation of tough tiles and beautification works in the building’s rooms to complete them within the stipulated time. Later, the Deputy Commissioner visited Government Girls High School DHQ Hospital, inspected various departments of the school, and reviewed the teaching process. Present during the visit were Additional Deputy Commissioner Municipal Services Majid Bin Ahmad, Assistant Commissioner Mianwali Faisal Imran, Deputy Director Development Shoaib Raza Khan, CO MC Mubashir Kaleem Gul, MD WASA Rizwan Akbar, XEN Highway Kamran Qamar, Additional AC Shaukat Iqbal, DM Suthra Punjab Ghulam Murtaza, along with other relevant officials.
