 A grand cake-cutting ceremony was held at the office of Free Print Media on the occasion of Pakistan’s 79th Independence Day, with the participation of the journalist community.
The event was supervised by senior journalist and chief patron Mian Tariq Anjum, and led by A.S. Shirazi, president of Free Print Media. The chief guest of the ceremony was Inspector Malik Khurram Shehzad, PRO to the DPO.
Journalists associated with Free Print Media, including Abdul Quddus Mughal, Haji Nabeel, Samiullah Mughal, Mehr Ishtiaq Ahmed, Kamran Salehri Chand, and other journalist friends attended the event. A cake was cut, and special prayers were offered for the safety, stability, development, and prosperity of our beloved homeland, Pakistan.
Participants expressed their joy over Pakistan’s independence by enthusiastically chanting “Long live Pakistan!”, “Long live the Pakistan Army!”, and “Long live the Punjab Police!” The ceremony also expressed solidarity with the country’s security institutions and reaffirmed the commitment of the journalist community to continue playing a positive role for national unity, peace, rule of law, and the development of our homeland.
At the end of the ceremony, participants congratulated each other on Independence Day and expressed their best wishes for Pakistan’s development and prosperity.
