Islamabad (Staff Reporter) The Capital Development Authority (CDA) is rapidly advancing the project for uplifting the Diplomatic Enclave in Islamabad. The aim of the Diplomatic Enclave upgrade project is to enhance the environment and facilities of the enclave through standard infrastructure, an effective security system, modern architecture, landscaping, horticulture, improved roads and sidewalks, modern lighting, and dignified public spaces, thereby further stabilizing the positive and dignified identity of Pakistan’s federal capital, Islamabad.
The CDA Chairman has issued special instructions to the CDA’s Special Projects Directorate to strengthen the upgrade of the Diplomatic Enclave, the construction of a new boundary wall, and the enhancement of security infrastructure.
Ongoing works include the upgrading of security gates and check posts, the construction of designated waiting areas, improvements to roads and sidewalks, as well as other civil works, architectural cladding and construction, strengthening of boundaries and security infrastructure, installation of modern LED and security lights, fencing, grills, razor wire, and other security measures. Additionally, special attention is being given to landscaping, new plantation, and the improvement of green belts and medians.
To further highlight the unique green identity of the Diplomatic Enclave, special focus is being placed on landscaping, horticulture, and beautification. Improved facilities for pedestrians, modern lighting, better roads, and dignified public spaces will enhance the overall environment, beauty, and functionality of the area.
The primary objective of this project is to provide a safe, organized, beautiful, and dignified environment for diplomats, residents, and both domestic and international guests. The upgrade of the Diplomatic Enclave is part of CDA’s broader vision to transform Islamabad into a globally recognized, safe, beautiful, and professionally managed federal capital.
With the upgrade, the Diplomatic Enclave will showcase a positive, dignified, and modern identity of Pakistan to the international diplomatic community, while providing a better and globally standard environment for diplomats, international delegations, investors, business personalities, and other esteemed guests.
The diplomatic community has welcomed CDA’s initiative, considering the ongoing upgrade work as a significant step towards enhancing the security, infrastructure, landscaping, and overall quality of the Diplomatic Enclave.
