Constable Ihtisham suspended, orders issued for close line and charge sheet, SP City directed to investigate the incident and submit a report

Rawalpindi (Sanober Kiani) Following the emergence of a video showing alleged mistreatment and assault of a citizen by a constable at Gujar Khan police station, CPO Rawalpindi Hassan Mushtaq Sukhera took immediate notice. The CPO ordered the immediate suspension of Constable Ihtisham, the initiation of a close line, and the issuance of a charge sheet. CPO Hassan Mushtaq Sukhera also directed SP City to conduct a thorough investigation into the incident and submit a report. The CPO stated that any form of violence or mistreatment against citizens is absolutely intolerable, and police personnel must treat citizens with respect and responsibility according to the law. Disciplinary action will be taken against officers who misuse their authority.
