A condolence reference was held in Jeddah for the late mother-in-law of Aftab Ahmed Khokhar, former Pakistani Ambassador to Austria and Additional Secretary General for Science and Technology at the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), attended by prominent figures from diplomatic, social, business, journalistic, and Pakistani communities.

Among those present were Consul General of Pakistan in Jeddah Syed Mustafa Rabbani and Pakistan’s Ambassador to the OIC Fawad Sher, who expressed their heartfelt condolences, deep sorrow, and regret to Aftab Ahmed Khokhar on the passing of his mother-in-law.

Participants prayed for the deceased, stating that the departure of a respected elder from the family is undoubtedly a great loss; however, submitting to the will of Allah is the way of the faithful. They noted that in such times of trial, patience, prayer, and mutual support provide the strength to endure grief.

During the occasion, expressions of sympathy were extended to Aftab Ahmed Khokhar and his family, affirming that the Pakistani diplomatic community, community members, and all friends stand with them in this time of sorrow. Participants prayed that Allah grants the deceased a high status in His mercy, elevates her ranks, and grants her a place in Paradise.

The condolence reference included recitation of Fatiha and special prayers for the deceased. Prayers were also offered for Aftab Ahmed Khokhar, Afshan Aftab, Musa Khokhar, and Ibrahim Khokhar, along with all grieving family members, for patience, courage, and steadfastness.

Participants expressed that standing together in times of sorrow and trial is a beautiful tradition of mutual love, brotherhood, compassion, and tolerance within the Pakistani community. Such events not only serve as a means of offering rewards for the deceased but also remind the grieving family that they are not alone during this difficult time.

At the conclusion of the condolence reference, special prayers were offered for the elevation of the deceased’s ranks, forgiveness, and a high status in Paradise, while prayers were made to Allah for patience and strength for the bereaved.
