Zahid Bakhtawari, Vice President of the Rawalpindi Cantonment Board and President of the Central Traders Organization Cantonment Registered Rawalpindi, stated that September 6, Defense Day of Pakistan, is a bright chapter in our history that teaches the nation about sacrifice, bravery, unity, and loyalty to the homeland. The martyrs and veterans have proven through their timeless sacrifices for the defense of the homeland that the entire nation is united for the security of Pakistan.

In his important statement on the occasion of Defense Day, he said that the greatest demand of Defense Day today is that we remember the sacrifices of the past while actively contributing to the construction and development of Pakistan, economic stability, and strengthening our defense capabilities. A strong economy forms the basis of a strong defense, so special attention must be given to the country’s development, promotion of industry and trade, creating job opportunities, and the effective use of national resources. Zahid Bakhtawari emphasized that Pakistan’s true strength lies in the unity of its more than 250 million talented and patriotic people, the younger generation, the armed forces, the business community, and national institutions. If the nation adopts discipline, hard work, integrity, and national responsibility as its motto, no one can prevent Pakistan from becoming one of the strongest nations in terms of economic and defense capabilities. He stated that the business community is the backbone of the national economy and will continue to play its role in promoting business activities, investment, and job creation for the economic strength of the homeland. The government, institutions, industrialists, traders, and the public must work together to create an environment where the economy is strong, the youth are empowered, and the country is on the path to development. Zahid Bakhtawari remarked that defense is not only at the borders; a strong economy, quality education, modern technology, national unity, rule of law, and self-reliance are also part of national defense. We must make Pakistan an economic and defense power that guarantees a safe, prosperous, and dignified future for the coming generations. He paid tribute to the martyrs and veterans of the homeland, stating that September 6 sends us the message that nations become strong not just through sacrifices but by advancing the purpose of those sacrifices, building the homeland, and prioritizing national interests over personal gains.
