Islamabad (Crime Reporter) A delegation of students from the Friends of Police Internship Program visited the Security Division of Islamabad. The delegation received a detailed briefing on the duties of the Security Division, operational matters, the use of modern technology, and security arrangements in the high-security zone. According to details, under the special directives of Inspector General of Police Islamabad Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi, the delegation visited the Security Division of Islamabad Police. During the visit, police officers guided the delegation through various departments and offices of the Security Division and provided detailed information regarding the central system of Islamabad Police, office operations, community policing, patrolling, and checkpoints. The delegation also toured the CCTV control room, various offices, police mess, stables, and the Diplomatic Enclave. They were briefed about the CCTV camera system installed in the city, its effective monitoring, and its role in crime prevention. Additionally, detailed information was provided regarding the security of important national and foreign personalities, foreign delegations, embassies located in the high-security zone, and significant government buildings. Police officers informed the delegation that the checkpoints established at the entry and exit points of the high-security zone play a crucial role in an effective security system. The checking of vehicles and individuals at these checkpoints, along with the registration of information, helps identify criminal and suspicious elements and aids in crime prevention. On this occasion, students praised the modern technical systems, security arrangements, and professional performance of Islamabad Police, describing the study visit as informative and beneficial, and extended special thanks to the police officers and their team. DIG Security Islamabad Rana Umar Farooq stated that students are a valuable asset of the country and ambassadors of Islamabad Police. The development of the country and nation depends on the capabilities and positive character of the youth. He emphasized that the active participation of the younger generation in educational and informational activities is commendable, as such programs provide students with opportunities to closely understand practical life and the performance of institutions.
