Daudkhel (Zia Niazi): A meeting to review arrangements for the routes of Chehlum processions was held in the committee room under the chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner Shahid Abbas Kathia.

Additional Deputy Commissioner General Majid Bin Ahmed, District Emergency Officer Engineer Naveed Iqbal, Chief Officer Municipal Committee Mubashir Kaleem Gul, Civil Defence Instructor Muhammad Bilal Farooq and officers of other relevant departments attended the meeting.

Addressing the meeting, the Deputy Commissioner directed all relevant departments to immediately prepare contingency plans for Chehlum and submit them to the DC Office.

He directed the Administrator Municipal Committee, Assistant Commissioners and Municipal Committee officers to ensure cleanliness along the procession routes, arrangements for sabeels, restoration and repair of streetlights, removal of wall chalking, and desilting of sewerage lines and drains.

The Deputy Commissioner directed the District Health Officer to ensure the availability of doctors and paramedical staff along with the procession, while the District Emergency Officer was directed to ensure the provision of medical and emergency cover.

The Deputy Commissioner directed WAPDA officials to ensure the insulation of electrical installations along the procession routes.

He directed Punjab Food Authority officials to inspect the sabeels and the Civil Defence Officer to conduct technical sweeping of the procession routes.

The Deputy Commissioner also directed officials of the Suthra Punjab Authority to ensure the best possible cleanliness arrangements along all procession routes.
