Islamabad (Crime Reporter) DIG Islamabad Ali Waseem has taken charge of his office, directing special attention to policing, citizen safety, and effective actions against crime during an introductory meeting.
According to details, Deputy Inspector General of Police Islamabad Ali Waseem chaired an introductory meeting with senior police officers after assuming his office, which was attended by SSP Operations Qazi Ali Raza, SSP Investigation Suleman Zafar, SSP Security and Admin Muhammad Sharyar Khan, zonal SPs, circle SDPOs, and SHOs. The meeting reviewed the law and order situation in Islamabad, crime prevention, the protection of citizens’ lives and property, and overall police performance. DIG Islamabad Ali Waseem met each officer individually during the meeting and discussed professional matters, issues faced in the field, and various policing matters. He emphasized that the rule of law, protection of citizens’ lives and property, and excellent service delivery are among the top priorities of the police. DIG Islamabad instructed the officers to carry out effective actions against criminals and lawbreakers without discrimination and to ensure prompt justice and better police services for citizens. He stated that no one is above the law, and police officers must perform their duties with complete responsibility, integrity, and professionalism. Ali Waseem firmly stated that the misuse of uniform and authority will not be tolerated under any circumstances, and negligence or violation of the law will not be accepted. He mentioned that merit, performance, and professional capability will be prioritized in the police department, and officers demonstrating excellent performance will be encouraged, while indiscriminate action will be taken against negligence or shortcomings. DIG Islamabad urged the officers to unite and work as a team to ensure law and order, crime prevention, and the protection of citizens in Islamabad.
