Islamabad (News Reporter) Ajmal Baloch, President of the All Pakistan Traders Association and Traders Action Committee Islamabad, administered the oath to the newly elected officials of the Traders Welfare Association D Barah Center. The oath-takers included President Muhammad Nauman, Senior Vice President Gul Andaz Abbasi, Vice President Malik Mubashir Nazir, General Secretary Imad Haider Cheema, Joint Secretary Aoun Muhammad Chachar, Finance Secretary Inam-ul-Hassan, Contact Secretary Ikram Sargana, Press Secretary Imtiaz Ahmed, Chief Patron Shahid Malik, Chairman Nader Hussain Durrani, and Vice Chairman Munhas Khan. The ceremony was attended by ICCI President Sardar Tahir Mahmood, former President Zafar Bakhtawari, Ejaz Abbasi, Khalid Chaudhry, Zahid Rafiq, and others. Speaking on the occasion, Ajmal Baloch congratulated the newly elected officials on their remarkable success. He stated that the district administration is currently troubling traders without reason. Thirty-five magistrates stationed in Islamabad are allegedly employing private staff who impose fines on traders without providing proper receipts. Ajmal Baloch urged district administration officials to immediately change their attitude towards traders, stop the humiliation and harassment, and not force them into protests. Newly elected President Muhammad Nauman and General Secretary Imad Haider Cheema expressed their views, demanding CDA Chairman Lieutenant Sohail Ashraf to personally visit D Barah Center to assess the issues faced by traders. They stated that no essential development work has been carried out in D Barah Center so far. Basic facilities such as parking, roads, clean drinking water, and public toilets are not available in the market. They urged the CDA Chairman to provide all necessary facilities and grant D Barah Center the status of a model market.
