Islamabad (Crime Reporter) – Effective enforcement of traffic laws, crackdown against double parking, and a helmet awareness campaign are ongoing. The Islamabad Traffic Police is conducting operations against illegal and double parking while also running a special campaign to promote helmet use among motorcyclists. According to details, in line with the vision of IG Islamabad Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi, the Islamabad Traffic Police is implementing special measures for effective enforcement of traffic laws and the safety of citizens. Alongside actions against illegal and double parking, a special campaign to promote helmet use among motorcyclists is also underway. Chief Traffic Officer Kainat Azhar Khan reviewed actions against vehicles affecting traffic flow and directed relevant officers to ensure effective enforcement. He appealed to citizens to use designated parking areas and support the Islamabad Traffic Police in maintaining traffic flow. The Chief Traffic Officer reported that the ongoing special campaign for helmet use has shown positive results, with a 90% increase in helmet usage among motorcyclists. He stated that wearing a helmet is not only a traffic law requirement but also a protector of the motorcyclist’s life, urging citizens to use standard helmets during travel. He further added that adherence to traffic laws, responsible driving, and cooperation from citizens can make Islamabad’s roads safer and improve the traffic system.
