President Asif Ali Zardari Honors General Syed Amir Raza for Valuable Services to National Defense and Security

Islamabad (Izhar Khan Niazi): Chairman of the Senate Syed Yousaf Raza Gilani attended a special ceremony held at the Aiwan-e-Sadr, where President Asif Ali Zardari conferred the Nishan-i-Imtiaz (Military) upon Commander National Strategic Command General Syed Amir Raza in recognition of his valuable services to the defense and security of the country, exceptional professional capabilities, and outstanding performance.

General Syed Amir Raza has previously also been awarded the Hilal-i-Imtiaz (Military) and Sitara-i-Basalat.

The ceremony was attended by Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif, Chairman Senate Syed Yousaf Raza Gilani, Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Muhammad Ishaq Dar, Chief of Army Staff and Chief of Defence Forces Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, Chief of Naval Staff Admiral Naveed Ashraf, Chief of Air Staff Air Chief Marshal Zaheer Ahmad Babar Sidhu, federal ministers, members of Parliament, and representatives of the diplomatic community.
