I-9 Police Station SHO Ashtiaq Shah’s action led to the arrest of two suspects who robbed a foreign national at gunpoint of 26 million rupees.

The police recovered the full amount of 26 million rupees taken from the foreign national, the motorcycle used in the crime, as well as weapons and ammunition from the suspects.

Islamabad (Crime Reporter) – In a swift operation by Industrial Area Police Station SHO Ashtiaq Shah, two suspects were arrested in less than 36 hours for robbing a foreign national at gunpoint of 26 million rupees. The full amount taken, the motorcycle used in the crime, weapons, and ammunition were recovered from the suspects. According to details, the Industrial Area Police received information about the robbery of a large sum of money from a foreign national at gunpoint. Upon receiving the report, the police promptly registered a case and initiated an investigation to apprehend the suspects. Under the supervision of SP Industrial Area Zone Dr. Ayaz Hussain, special police teams were formed, which, utilizing modern technical resources and professional investigative methods, worked tirelessly to arrest both suspects in less than 36 hours. The arrested suspects were identified as Aqib and Talat, who have previous records in robbery and theft cases in Attock district. The police recovered the full amount of 26 million rupees taken from the foreign national, the motorcycle used in the crime, as well as weapons and ammunition from the suspects. SP Industrial Area Zone Dr. Ayaz Hussain stated that strict action would be taken against those involved in crimes against foreign nationals, and they would be brought to justice. He emphasized that the protection of citizens and foreign nationals’ lives and property is the top priority of the Islamabad police. He further stated that all available resources are being utilized to prevent crime, ensure the safety of citizens, and maintain law and order in Islamabad, while operations against criminal elements will continue to be carried out more effectively. SSP Operations Islamabad Qazi Ali Raza praised SP Industrial Area Zone Dr. Ayaz Hussain, the SHO, and the investigating officers for their timely and effective action in arresting the suspects and recovering the large sum of money, commending the performance of the police team.
