Islamabad (Crime Reporter) IG Islamabad Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi reviewed investigative and legal matters as well as pending cases. The IG issued directives to the AIG Investigations and AIG Legal to expedite the resolution of all cases and enhance the effectiveness of policing. According to details, Inspector General of Police Islamabad Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi held an important meeting with AIG Investigations Syed Inayat Ali Shah and AIG Legal Tahir Kazim. The meeting involved a detailed review of the progress of investigative and legal matters, including pending cases. During the meeting, the relevant officers briefed the IG Islamabad on ongoing investigations, pending cases, legal issues, and the investigative process. Various matters related to the progress of investigations, fulfillment of legal requirements, and further improvement of policing standards were discussed. IG Islamabad Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi directed that pending cases be resolved promptly based on merit, evidence, and law, ensuring that standards, transparency, and professional requirements are maintained throughout the investigative process. He further instructed that effective communication be maintained between the investigative and legal departments to timely address any legal and investigative obstacles faced in cases, so that citizens can receive justice and the quality of police services can be improved. IG Islamabad emphasized that effective investigation and strong legal action are fundamental to crime reduction and delivering justice to citizens, hence all relevant officers must perform their duties professionally to ensure timely resolution of cases. Later, IG Islamabad Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi also met with SSP Abdul Haq Umrani. He praised his valuable services to the Islamabad police and expressed best wishes for his new responsibilities.
