Murree (Raja Usman Ali) – DPO Murree Raza Tanveer Supra has stated that an effective internal accountability and monitoring system is operational within the Murree Police, with a zero tolerance policy being implemented indiscriminately against corruption, misuse of authority, and links with criminal elements. According to the DPO, strict departmental action has been taken against six constables upon proving their connections with corruption and criminal elements, resulting in severe penalties. In-charge of the Lehtrar Police Station, Sub-Inspector Tahir Shah, has been suspended and a charge sheet issued against him on corruption allegations, while ASI Shahzad Zafar has been suspended and departmental action initiated due to complaints regarding links with criminal elements. Sub-Inspector Tufail has been suspended for poor investigation and negligence in duties. Raza Tanveer Supra emphasized that the uniform does not grant any officer immunity from the law, and every police officer is accountable for their actions. Negligence, bias, or poor performance in investigations will not be tolerated, and citizens will be ensured justice in accordance with merit and the law. He stated that officers will be encouraged for good performance and integrity, while strict and indiscriminate departmental action will continue against corruption and misuse of authority. The aim of internal accountability is to strengthen discipline, transparency, and professional responsibility within the police force, while also enhancing public trust.
