Islamabad (Crime Reporter) A meeting on law and order, crime prevention, investigative and operational matters was held under the chairmanship of IG Islamabad Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi. The IG reviewed crime prevention, progress in ongoing investigations, operational measures, and legal matters. All officers were issued directives to enhance crime prevention, improve the quality of investigations, and make police actions more effective.
According to details, an important meeting was held at the Central Police Office Islamabad under the chairmanship of Inspector General of Police Islamabad Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi, attended by DIG Headquarters Muhammad Javad Tariq and other senior police officials. The meeting reviewed law and order, crime prevention, investigative and operational matters, security measures, and the overall performance of the police in the federal capital. During the meeting, detailed discussions were held on crime prevention, actions against criminal elements, progress in ongoing investigations, the quality of investigations, and current operational measures. Relevant officers briefed the IG Islamabad on the performance of their departments and ongoing initiatives. The IG Islamabad instructed the officers to adopt effective and coordinated strategies for crime prevention, expedite actions against criminal elements, and ensure that ongoing investigations reach a logical conclusion in accordance with merit and law. He also directed improvements in the quality of investigations and ensured effective monitoring of cases. Furthermore, he instructed that the police presence in the field, patrolling, checkpoints, and the checking system be made more effective, while continuously reviewing security arrangements at important and sensitive locations. In case of any unpleasant situation, immediate and effective response must be ensured. IG Islamabad Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi stated that the protection of citizens’ lives and property, establishment of law and order, effective crime prevention, and timely and quality police services are the top priorities of Islamabad police. He directed the officers to ensure courteousness, politeness, and professionalism in dealing with citizens and to promptly address public complaints. The IG Islamabad emphasized the need for effective implementation of the directives given to all officers and regular follow-up, stating that the overall performance of the police and service delivery should be further improved by utilizing available resources and modern technology.
