The new center will play a crucial role in enhancing technology-based policing, effective command, timely decision-making, and coordination among various police units in the capital. According to details, the modern Command, Control, Communication and Coordination Center has been set up at the Islamabad Police Central Police Office, which will significantly strengthen technology-based policing, effective command, timely decision-making, and coordination among different police units in the capital. The primary objective of the new center is to provide Inspector General of Police Islamabad Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi with a centralized platform for the direct monitoring of Islamabad Police’s key operational systems, Safe City, field force, and the law and order situation in the city. Through this system, information and operational activities of various police units will be connected to an integrated command and control platform. The center incorporates various technology-based systems, including artificial intelligence, facial recognition, automatic number plate recognition, crime analysis, geographic information, and emergency response, which will assist in crime prevention, field force monitoring, and rapid police response. Thanks to this modern center, timely information delivery, immediate monitoring of situations, and rapid decision-making will be possible in any emergency, security, or law and order situation. The IG Islamabad will be able to directly monitor the overall situation in the city and police operations from his office and issue immediate instructions to relevant officers. Coordination and cooperation among different police units will be further enhanced through the central command and control platform, which will aid in the timely mobilization of relevant units, effective resource distribution, and faster police response in the event of any incident. The use of modern technology will also strengthen the deployment, performance, and operational activities of the field force, as well as the command, monitoring, and accountability systems, thereby improving the overall quality and performance of policing. This modern center will serve as a significant milestone in leading Islamabad Police towards data, technology, timely information, and integrated command-based modern policing.
