Murree (Bureau Report) After two days of efforts, the Murree police successfully rescued both young girls who had gone missing from the Patriahta police station area from a village in Poonch district of Azad Kashmir.

According to the police, operations were conducted at various locations for the girls’ recovery, during which the police team faced resistance, resulting in one sub-inspector being injured.

In a press release, police spokesperson stated that under the leadership of SHO Patriahta Saeed Akbar Kiani, the police maintained coordination and negotiations with local personalities and elders, which led to the successful recovery of both girls.
According to the police, both girls have returned to their parents in Murree. Earlier, the girls’ mother had filed an FIR naming the accused, alleging that her daughters were abducted at gunpoint. The motive for the enmity was reported to be that the girls’ brother had entered into a court marriage, which prompted this incident.
