Islamabad (News Reporter) A prayer ceremony was held at the National Press Club in Islamabad for the eternal peace and elevation of the ranks of senior journalist Shakir Solangi’s son, attended by a large number of political and journalistic figures, including senior journalists. During the event, prayers and special supplications were offered for the deceased, and condolences were expressed to the bereaved family, wishing them patience and solace. The ceremony was attended by Senator Abdul Ghafoor Haidri, Secretary of the National Press Club Dr. Farqan Rao, Finance Secretary Abid Abbasi, former presidents of the National Press Club Tariq Chaudhry, Farooq Faisal Khan, Afzal Butt, Haji Nawaz Raza, Amir Sajjad Syed, Asif Bashir Chaudhry, Bashir Usmani, Tariq Usmani, Zafar Abbas, Shah Muhammad, Khawar Nawaz Raja, Rana Kausar Ali, Amir Rafiq Butt, Naveed Ahmed Sheikh, Jafar Ali Balti, Asad Shar, Faisal Hakeem, Tahir Khan, Nair Ali, Dr. Abdul Wadood Qureshi, and Abdul Sattar Khan, along with a large number of senior journalists and members of the National Press Club. On this occasion, attendees expressed their deep sorrow and regret to senior journalist Shakir Solangi over the passing of his son, stating that the grief of losing a child is extremely painful for parents. May Allah grant the deceased a place in His mercy and give the grieving family the strength and patience to bear this irreparable loss. At the end of the ceremony, special prayers were offered for the eternal peace, forgiveness, and elevation of the deceased’s ranks, as well as for the safety, peace, and stability of the country and the nation.
