Islamabad (Crime Reporter) The traffic police have launched a crackdown against illegal parking at shopping malls, commercial centers, markets, and major roads. Actions have been taken indiscriminately against vehicles violating parking regulations, and operations will continue against drivers obstructing traffic flow and affecting road discipline.
According to details, under the special orders of Inspector General of Police Islamabad Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi, the Islamabad Traffic Police has initiated special measures to maintain traffic flow in the federal capital, enhance the integrated traffic system, and ensure the enforcement of traffic laws. In this regard, the Islamabad Traffic Police is continuing indiscriminate actions against drivers violating no-parking and footpath parking regulations. Special teams have also been formed to continue the crackdown against illegal parking in shopping malls, markets, commercial centers, and major roads of Islamabad. Chief Traffic Officer Islamabad Kainat Azhar Khan has issued special instructions to all zonal DSPs, emphasizing the need to ensure strict enforcement of laws to reduce traffic violations in Islamabad and to intensify actions against elements obstructing traffic flow, particularly those affecting traffic discipline. He further stated that no leniency should be shown to those violating no-parking rules while ensuring parking in designated areas in commercial centers. The right of pedestrians on footpaths must be respected, and no parking or obstruction will be tolerated on footpaths. Every possible facility will be provided to citizens visiting commercial centers. Citizens are urged to cooperate with Islamabad Police by adhering to the law to maintain an integrated traffic system in the city.
