A grand and colorful ceremony was held at Government Girls High School Shimla Islamia Block B Rawalpindi to commemorate Independence Day, where students expressed their love for the homeland through national songs and tableaux, alongside the hoisting of the national flag and a tree plantation campaign. The chief guest of the event was Member of the Provincial Assembly (MPA) Riffat Abbasi, while CEO DEA Muhammad Yaseen Khan Baloch also attended the event and addressed the gathering. The ceremony began with a formal flag hoisting, where the chief guest raised the national flag. Following this, plants were also planted in the school premises under the commitment to make the country’s environment green and lush.
Subsequently, during the cultural session of the event, children from various schools delivered stunning performances of national songs and presented beautiful tableaux that captivated the attendees. On this occasion, chief guest MPA Riffat Abbasi and CEO DEA Muhammad Yaseen Khan Baloch addressed the gathering. Chief guest Riffat Abbasi expressed her thoughts, stating that these children are in no way inferior to those from private schools, as they are presenting such beautiful, colorful, and enthusiastic national songs and tableaux.
At the conclusion of the ceremony, special prayers were offered for the safety, development, and prosperity of the homeland, and the Independence Day was celebrated with great enthusiasm. Other distinguished guests at the event included DEO (SE) Tabinda Anjum, DEO Elementary (Male) Dr. Shahenshah Babar Khan, DEO Elementary (Female) Dr. Hajra Shaheen, and Senior Head Mistress Noreen Safdar Raja.
