Under this campaign, citizens can report any traffic violations during their journey, particularly overloading in public service vehicles, charging excess fares from passengers, dangerous and reckless driving, and other violations, to the National Highways and Motorway Police. According to the motorway police, the process for citizens to file complaints has been made extremely easy; by scanning the QR code on the motorway police sticker present on public transport vehicles with their mobile phones, citizens can access the relevant platform where they can register their complaints. The motorway police stated that timely and responsible reporting by citizens can play a crucial role in preventing traffic law violations, reducing accidents, and protecting valuable human lives. The National Highways and Motorway Police has urged citizens to become part of the ‘Be Aware Eyes’ campaign for safe travel, a better traffic system, and enforcement of the law on highways, and to promptly report any visible traffic violations during their journey.
