Karachi Company Police SHO Nadeem Tahir’s action led to the safe recovery of an abducted Chinese national, with 9 suspects allegedly involved in the incident arrested.

The Chinese national was abducted at gunpoint from Sector G-8, Islamabad, and a ransom of one hundred thousand US dollars (US$100,000) was demanded from his family. Further investigation into the incident is ongoing by the police.

Islamabad (Crime Reporter) The safe recovery of the abducted Chinese national was achieved through timely and effective action by the Islamabad police, who rescued him safely while arresting 9 suspects allegedly involved in the incident. The police also recovered three vehicles used in the crime, all the stolen cash, and mobile phones from the suspects. According to details, the Chinese national, Zhou Jiawei (Passport No. EL7407343), was abducted early this morning by unknown armed individuals after robbing his companions at gunpoint and was taken to an unknown location for ransom. The incident was reported to the police around 6 AM via a Safe City call. Taking immediate notice of the incident, SSP Operations Islamabad Qazi Ali Raza formed special teams under the leadership of SP City Zone Flight Lieutenant (Retd) Muhammad Khurram Ashraf. The teams included SHO Karachi Company Nadeem Tahir, SHO Sohala Awan Abbas along with police teams and Crisis Response Team (CRT) personnel. Under the direct supervision of SP City Zone Flight Lieutenant (Retd) Muhammad Khurram Ashraf, the police teams initiated an immediate intelligence-based operation using technical and human resources. Professionally advancing the operation, the police tracked the location of the abductee and conducted an effective operation for his safe recovery. As a result of the successful operation, the Chinese national was safely recovered from the jurisdiction of Sohala Police Station, while 9 suspects allegedly involved in the incident were arrested. The police also recovered all three vehicles used in the crime, along with the stolen cash and mobile phones. The arrested suspects have been transferred to Karachi Company Police Station for further investigation and legal action. During initial investigations, the arrested suspects allegedly revealed that they had abducted the Chinese national from Sector G-8, Islamabad, at gunpoint and demanded a ransom of one hundred thousand US dollars (US$100,000) from his family. Further investigation into the incident is ongoing, and legal proceedings against the arrested suspects are being carried out as per the law.
