A grand ceremony was held at Government Girls Higher Secondary School No. 1 Bagh Sardaran on the occasion of Defense Day of Pakistan.

The ceremony commenced with the recitation of the Holy Quran and the national anthem, followed by a cake-cutting event. Students presented patriotic songs and impressive tableaux, which were highly appreciated by the attendees. During the event, distinguished guests paid tribute to the martyrs of September 6, 1965. Retired Lieutenant Colonel Mian Jameel Ather stated that the Pakistan Army and the nation have always thwarted the enemy’s nefarious designs. Member of the National Assembly Ms. Tahira Aurangzeb emotionally remembered the martyrs. Provincial Assembly member Ms. Shazia Rizwan urged the younger generation to remember the sacrifices of their ancestors, while Provincial Assembly member Ms. Asma Abbasi praised the students’ performances. Retired Colonel Shaheen Termizi and parliamentarian Ziaullah Shah also highlighted the unity and determination of the nation.
At the end of the ceremony, CEO Education Rawalpindi Mr. Yaseen Khan Baloch thanked all the guests, and a special prayer was offered for the safety, development, and prosperity of the country and nation.
A large number of political and social figures, military officials, teachers, and students attended the event. Other guests included Shama Naz, Father Manzoor, Pastor Zahid, Jabran Gul, Dr. Tariq Qazi, Sir Ansar Ahmed, Raja Shabeer, MLA Yaseen Lone, and coordinator of PP 16 Saifi Khokhar, along with members of the school council, principals, and citizens.
On this occasion, students from various Government Girls Higher Secondary Schools (including Government Girls Higher Secondary School No. 1 Bagh Sardaran, Government Comprehensive High School Dhoke Kashmiryaan, Government Girls High School Dhoke Hasu, Government Girls Primary School Dhoke Hasu, Government High School Chak Baeli Khan, and Government Girls Shimla School Rawalpindi) delivered excellent performances, adding great value to the ceremony.
