A grand literary event organized by the Kababish Arts Council was held at a local hotel in Jeddah to commemorate Pakistan Defense Day and the death anniversary of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah. The event was attended by writers, poets, and prominent figures from the Pakistani community, who paid a heartfelt tribute to the great leadership of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah, the struggle for the creation of Pakistan, and the martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the defense of the homeland through prose and poetry.
The event was presided over by senior poet Naeem Hamid Al-Hamid, while Press Counselor Chaudhry Irfan was the chief guest and former principal of Pakistan International School Jeddah, Atiq-ur-Rehman, was the guest of honor.
The program began with a recitation of the Holy Quran by Qari Muhammad Asif, followed by Ahmad bin Zubair presenting a Na’at in honor of the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH). The melodious Muhammad Nawaz Janjua recited Iqbal’s poetry, warming the hearts of the attendees, while Ahmad bin Zubair stirred feelings of patriotism by singing the national song “O Brave Youth of the Homeland, My Songs Are for You.”
Speakers RJ Fawad, Dr. Asif Ali Khan, and Engineer Afzal Ghazi paid tribute to Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah’s principled stance, unparalleled leadership, and his historic struggle for the creation of Pakistan. They stated that Pakistan came into existence as a result of a great cause and numerous sacrifices, and that the sacrifices of the soldiers of the Pakistan Army and the martyrs of the homeland for its freedom, security, and sovereignty are a bright chapter in our national history.
In the poetry session, Faisal Tufail, Imran Awan, Athar Nafees Abbasi, and the host Naeem Hamid Al-Hamid presented their poetic works. The enthusiastic verses of the poets highlighted feelings of devotion to Quaid-e-Azam, love for the homeland, and tribute to the martyrs of Pakistan, which received a warm response from the audience.
The event was beautifully and elegantly hosted by Aftab Tarabi, the president of the Kababish Arts Council and a renowned poet. His spontaneous hosting made the atmosphere of the event even more delightful and memorable.
An important and commendable aspect of the event was the recognition of services. On this occasion, the chairman of the Kababish Arts Council, Malik Ali Khurshid Sultan, presented commemorative shields to Press Counselor Chaudhry Irfan and Atiq-ur-Rehman in acknowledgment of their services. Participants appreciated this initiative, stating that encouraging individuals who perform positive and national services in society is a beautiful tradition.
At the conclusion of the event, a special prayer was offered for the security, stability, development, and prosperity of the homeland Pakistan, and for the elevation of the ranks of the martyrs. Participants expressed their commitment to continue the message of love for Pakistan, national unity, and the sacrifices of the martyrs of the homeland to the new generation.
