Asif Javed, Chairman of the Pakistan Alternative Energy Association (PAEA), has stated that a long-term and sustainable policy should be formulated for local solar and battery manufacturing, incentives should be provided to investors, and an effective regulatory system should be established to ensure quality production. He mentioned that local production would lead to a gradual decrease in solar technology prices, enabling residential consumers, business centers, and the industrial sector to transition to solar energy more rapidly, thereby reducing pressure on traditional electricity sources. By making solarization a key part of the national energy policy, Pakistan can not only meet its energy needs but also establish its position in the global market through the export of solar technology and batteries in the future.
