Attock (Staff Reporter) Additional Deputy Commissioner Municipal Services Anil Saeed chaired a meeting on dengue prevention and control held at the Municipal Committee Hall. The meeting was attended by heads of various departments and relevant officers at the district level. The CEO of Health, Chief Officer of the Municipal Committee, officials of the Municipal Committee, and representatives from other relevant departments were also present. During the meeting, a detailed review of dengue prevention, preventive measures, and departmental performance was conducted.
On this occasion, Additional Deputy Commissioner Municipal Services Anil Saeed instructed all relevant departments to diligently, seriously, and effectively fulfill their responsibilities in accordance with the directives of the Chief Minister of Punjab. He stated that dengue is a significant public issue that requires all institutions to work together in a coordinated strategy. He emphasized that all departments should enhance the effectiveness of timely surveillance of dengue larvae, cleanliness, preventive actions, and awareness activities in their respective areas. Any form of negligence or shortcoming will not be tolerated. The Additional Deputy Commissioner Municipal Services stated that relevant agencies should complete their actions promptly and ensure effective monitoring in the field to timely address potential dengue threats and protect citizens from this deadly disease. He urged all officers to fulfill their responsibilities vigorously to eradicate dengue in accordance with the directives of the Punjab government and to ensure the protection of the public’s life and property at all costs.
