In five operations, 42.282 kilograms of drugs and over 4.8 million rupees worth of 48,298 Xanax tablets were recovered.

Islamabad (Asif Malik) The Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) has arrested four suspects during operations against drug smuggling in various cities across the country. According to the ANF, a total of 42.282 kilograms of drugs were recovered during five operations.

ANF spokesperson stated that 320 grams of hashish were recovered from a passenger heading to Dubai at Peshawar Airport, leading to the arrest of the suspect.

At Islamabad Airport, 48,298 Xanax tablets weighing 6.762 kilograms were found in the bag of a passenger traveling to Riyadh.

In Faisalabad, during a raid on a house near Chak Number 222, 28.8 kilograms of hashish, 2.4 kilograms of opium, and 10,075 rupees were recovered, resulting in the arrest of the suspect.

In Multan, 400 grams of ice were recovered from a suspect near the Shah Shams Toll Plaza, while during a search of a parcel at a courier office in Sector I-9, Islamabad, 3.6 kilograms of hashish were found hidden in an inverter.

According to the spokesperson, cases for all operations have been registered under the Anti-Narcotics Act of 1997, and further investigations have commenced.
