ANF conducts crackdown on drug smuggling in various cities, one suspect arrested

In two operations, over 14.9 million rupees worth of 107.6 kilograms of drugs were seized.

Rawalpindi (Asif Malik) – The Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) arrested one suspect during a crackdown on drug smuggling in various cities across the country, seizing a total of 107.6 kilograms of drugs valued at over 14.9 million rupees.

According to an ANF spokesperson, during a search of a parcel destined for the UK at a courier office on Murree Road in Rawalpindi, 5.6 kilograms of heroin hidden in clothing was recovered.

The second operation took place near the Zahir Peer Interchange in Rahim Yar Khan, where 102 kilograms of hashish were seized from a vehicle, leading to the arrest of the suspect.

The spokesperson stated that cases have been registered under the Anti-Narcotics Act of 1997 concerning both operations, and further investigations have commenced.
