ANF’s crackdown on drug smugglers, over 6 million rupees worth of drugs seized

Rawalpindi, Swabi, and Islamabad operations lead to the arrest of 4 suspects and the seizure of 29.699 kilograms of drugs.

Islamabad (Asif Malik) – The Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) has arrested 4 suspects during a crackdown on drug smuggling in various cities across the country, seizing over 6 million rupees worth of 29.699 kilograms of drugs in 3 operations. According to an ANF spokesperson, during a search of a parcel destined for Saudi Arabia at the courier office in Chaklala Garrison Rawalpindi, 494 grams of ice were found hidden in 15 Wi-Fi devices. In another operation near Kamal Sher Khan Interchange in Swabi, 28.8 kilograms of opium were seized from a vehicle, leading to the arrest of 2 suspects. Additionally, during an operation near a hotel in Islamabad, 405 grams of 710 ecstasy pills were also recovered from 2 suspects. The ANF spokesperson stated that cases have been registered against the arrested suspects under the Anti-Narcotics Act of 1997, and investigations have commenced.
