Daud Khel (Zia Niazi) – Deputy Commissioner Shahid Abbas Khatia visited the District Headquarters Hospital Mianwali and reviewed a mock exercise conducted by the hospital staff. He also assessed the emergency equipment installed in various departments of the hospital, safety measures, cleanliness systems, and medical facilities. Additional Deputy Commissioner Headquarters Umar Farooq, District Emergency Officer Engineer Naveed Iqbal, and MS DHQ Dr. Haroon Tahir were also present on this occasion. During the mock drill, the hospital staff demonstrated fire extinguishing and evacuation procedures in case of an emergency. On this occasion, the Deputy Commissioner was briefed by the relevant officials that practical training in firefighting and handling any emergency was conducted for the hospital staff in collaboration with the Health Department, Civil Defense, Rescue 1122, and the district administration. Shahid Abbas Khatia instructed the hospital administration to ensure that all safety equipment is fully operational and regularly checked. He further stated that all basic medical facilities should be provided to patients visiting the hospital.
