DPO Mianwali, Waqas Azim Kharl, organized an open court at the patrol check post in the Fakharabad area of Chakrala Police Station, issuing immediate redressal orders after listening to citizens’ issues on the spot.
In line with Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif’s vision “Justice at Your Doorstep,” and under the special directives of Inspector General of Police Punjab Abdul Kareem and the instructions of RPO Sargodha Region Muhammad Shahzad Asif Khan, DPO Mianwali conducted the open court.
Local dignitaries, elders, and citizens actively participated in the open court, presenting their issues, complaints, and suggestions to the DPO Mianwali. The DPO listened attentively to all requests, issued transparent and immediate action orders to the relevant officers on the spot, and assured every citizen of timely justice. During the occasion, DPO Mianwali stated that the Punjab Police is dedicated to serving the public and that the purpose of open courts is to strengthen trust, mutual cooperation, and communication between the police and the public so that citizens’ issues can be resolved at their doorstep. He emphasized that for him, the rich and the poor are equal, and providing justice to every citizen without discrimination is his top priority, and any injustice towards any citizen will not be tolerated. He further stated that police officers should interact with the public courteously, according to merit and law, and should not show any negligence in addressing citizens’ complaints. Present at the open court were SDPO Musa Khel Asad Abbas Khan, DSP Patrol, SHO Chakrala Police Station, investigation officers, complaint cell in-charge, and other police officials.
