Fraud of 9 million rupees in the name of UK work visa, accused arrested

FIA Anti-Human Trafficking Circle Rawalpindi’s operation, accused Muhammad Ramzan arrested for involvement in human trafficking and visa fraud, further investigation ongoing

Rawalpindi (Report: Izhār Khan Niyāzī) The FIA Anti-Human Trafficking Circle Rawalpindi has arrested Muhammad Ramzan, who was involved in human trafficking, visa fraud, and deceiving a citizen under the pretext of overseas employment.

According to the FIA, a case number 08/2026 has been registered against the accused under Sections 18 and 22 of the Immigration Ordinance 1979. The complaint states that the accused, along with an accomplice, deceived the complainant into believing they would obtain a UK work visa, collecting 9 million rupees.

However, despite receiving the money, neither was the complainant sent to the UK nor was the money returned. The FIA registered a case against the accused after completing inquiry number 1448/2025.

According to FIA officials, further investigation of the accused is ongoing, and the roles of other individuals involved in the case are also being determined.

The FIA Islamabad Zone stated that indiscriminate actions against elements deceiving citizens under the guise of human trafficking, visa fraud, and overseas employment will continue.
