Inauguration of Islamabad Police’s new Command and Control Center, IG granted central command authority

Direct monitoring of Safe City, police operations, and law and order situation will improve response time with modern artificial intelligence and technology, said Mohsin Naqvi.

Islamabad (Izhhar Khan Niazi) – Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi inaugurated the new Command, Control, Communication, and Coordination Center of Islamabad Police. Through the new Command and Control Center, the IG of Islamabad will be able to directly monitor and command Safe City, police operations, and the law and order situation in the city from his office.

Mohsin Naqvi stated that the modern center will significantly enhance the command, monitoring, coordination, and rapid decision-making system of Islamabad Police, while all key operational systems of the police, including Safe City, will be connected to a central command and control platform.

He mentioned that in any emergency or security situation, the IG of Islamabad will be able to directly monitor the situation and issue immediate orders, with the system based on modern artificial intelligence and technology making police performance, response time, and field force monitoring more effective.

The Federal Interior Minister inspected various parts of the center and reviewed the modern monitoring and command system. He was given a detailed briefing about the integrated system with Safe City, police operations, field force monitoring, immediate response in emergencies, and technology based on modern artificial intelligence.

Mohsin Naqvi emphasized that the primary objective of the new center is to provide the IG of Islamabad with effective command and monitoring of the entire Islamabad Police from a single location, enhancing communication and coordination among various police units through the modern system.

He added that timely information, rapid decision-making, and swift police response will be possible in any incident or emergency situation, aiming to strengthen the command, monitoring, and accountability system of the police through modern technology.

The Federal Interior Minister stated that the center will also enable effective monitoring of police performance in the field, ensuring the safety of citizens, improving police performance, and establishing law and order in Islamabad are our top priorities.

On this occasion, the IG of Islamabad Police, DG IG Islamabad, and other relevant officials were also present.
