Both Sides Discuss Expansion of Bilateral Cooperation in Security-Related Sectors; Commitment to Strengthen Partnership on Internal Security Reaffirmed

Doha (Bureau Report): Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi held an important meeting in Doha with his Qatari counterpart and Commander of the Internal Security Force (Lekhwiya), Sheikh Khalifa bin Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani.

During the meeting, both sides held detailed discussions on enhancing bilateral cooperation in security-related sectors and expanding the security partnership between the two countries.

The two interior ministers reaffirmed their commitment to further strengthening cooperation between the ministries of interior of Pakistan and Qatar. They also discussed the current regional situation and matters related to peace and stability.

It was decided during the meeting that mutual cooperation and partnership in the field of internal security would be further enhanced.

Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi stated that Pakistan is committed to strengthening cooperation with Qatar in the areas of security and mutual interests. He emphasized the importance of further developing bilateral relations between the two countries.

During the meeting, Mohsin Naqvi also expressed condolences to his Qatari counterpart on the passing of his father, former Emir of Qatar Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani. He paid tribute to the former Emir’s valuable services and contributions towards the development and progress of Qatar.

The Qatari Interior Minister stated that Qatar attaches great importance to its relations with Pakistan and that both countries will continue working together to further strengthen bilateral cooperation.
