Main accused Muhammad Arif has been sentenced to death, and accomplice Muhammad Usman has received a life sentence for the murder of a housewife using a hoe.

Rawalpindi (Court Reporter) Additional Sessions Judge Afshan Ijaz Soofi announced the verdict in the case of the murder of a housewife, sentencing the main accused Muhammad Arif to death and a fine of 1 million rupees, while accomplice Muhammad Usman was sentenced to life imprisonment.

According to court records, on June 24, 2025, the complainant Muhammad Hamza registered a case at the Chaklala police station, stating that his mother was killed by Muhammad Arif, a gardener working in their home, and another person who fled the scene.

The case was pursued by Advocate Qazi Hafeez-ur-Rehman. During the hearing, the prosecution presented all witnesses in court, who recorded testimonies against the accused. The witnesses also identified an unknown assailant.

Advocate Qazi Hafeez-ur-Rehman argued that the accused Muhammad Arif and Muhammad Usman conspired to murder the elderly woman using the hoe available in the house. He presented various judicial precedents before the court, asserting that the evidence and witness testimonies presented in the case were sufficient to prove the guilt of the accused.

After reviewing the arguments of both parties and the evidence on record, the court concluded that the accused had committed a heinous crime by brutally murdering the elderly woman.

According to the verdict, the court sentenced main accused Muhammad Arif to death and a fine of 1 million rupees, with the fine ordered to be paid to the heirs of the deceased. Accomplice Muhammad Usman was sentenced to life imprisonment.
