Navy Day: National Assembly Speaker Pays Tribute to Pakistan Navy’s Martyrs and Veterans

Operation Dwarka is a shining chapter in the history of the Pakistan Navy, and its role in safeguarding maritime boundaries is commendable, said Sardar Ayaz Sadiq.

Islamabad (Izhhar Khan Niazi) – On the occasion of Navy Day, National Assembly Speaker Sardar Ayaz Sadiq paid tribute to the martyrs, veterans, and brave personnel of the Pakistan Navy, stating that the Navy has always demonstrated determination, courage, and professionalism in defending the homeland and protecting the country’s maritime boundaries.

Sardar Ayaz Sadiq remarked that Navy Day reminds us of the sacrifices and services of the brave sons of the Pakistan Navy who laid down their lives for the defense of the nation. The performance of the Pakistan Navy during the 1965 war is a source of pride, while Operation Dwarka is a brilliant chapter in the Navy’s history, targeting the enemy’s key coastal installations and radar stations.

The National Assembly Speaker noted that during the 1965 war, the submarine Ghazi played a significant role in effectively carrying out its operational responsibilities at sea, limiting the enemy’s naval movements.

He stated that during the Battle of Truth, the Pakistan Navy also fulfilled its responsibilities for the protection of the country’s maritime boundaries and national defense with vigor. Under the leadership of Chief of Naval Staff Admiral Naveed Ashraf, the Pakistan Navy demonstrated professional expertise, determination, and bravery, playing a vital role in safeguarding the country’s defense and security.

Sardar Ayaz Sadiq emphasized that the combined professional capabilities, mutual cooperation, and national spirit of the Pakistan Armed Forces have proven that Pakistan has the full capability to defend its sovereignty and territorial integrity.

He pointed out that maritime routes are fundamentally important for Pakistan’s economy, trade, and strategic security, making the role of the Pakistan Navy extremely significant. The Pakistan Navy is providing commendable services for the protection of the country’s maritime boundaries and national sovereignty.

The National Assembly Speaker stated that the entire nation salutes the martyrs, veterans, and brave personnel of the Pakistan Navy and will always remember their sacrifices and services with respect and honor. He prayed to Allah for the elevation of the martyrs’ ranks and for peace, security, development, and prosperity for Pakistan.

Deputy Speaker’s Tribute

The Deputy Speaker of the National Assembly also paid tribute to the martyrs and veterans of the Pakistan Navy on Navy Day, stating that the brave sons of the Navy wrote timeless tales of courage, professional expertise, and national spirit during the 1965 war.

He remarked that Operation Dwarka is a memorable chapter in the history of the Pakistan Navy, highlighting our naval strength and determination against the enemy. Navy Day also provides an opportunity to renew the commitment that the entire nation will remain united for the protection of Pakistan’s sovereignty, security, and national interests.

The professional capabilities of the Pakistan Navy have once again proven that the armed forces of Pakistan have the full capacity to face every challenge in defense of the homeland.

He stated that the sacrifices of the martyrs and veterans are a source of pride for the entire nation, and the nation will always remember the services and sacrifices of its national heroes.
