*Parents Protest Annual Results of Ninth Grade, Demand Rechecking and Assessment by Experienced Teachers*

 Parents have expressed serious concerns regarding the results of the ninth-grade annual examination 2026, refusing to accept the results and demanding a re-evaluation of their children’s papers.

According to reports, parents who came to the Rawalpindi Board in Morgah for the rechecking of ninth-grade papers stated that they had submitted a request to check the results. However, when the papers were rechecked, their children reported that there were multiple cross marks, clearly indicating that the papers were not checked thoroughly, raising questions about the transparency of the results. Parents demanded that the re-evaluation of students’ papers be conducted by experienced and qualified teachers to address any potential injustices faced by the students. On the other hand, educational circles have stated that if unprofessional or inexperienced individuals are hired to assess the examination papers, it is not surprising that such results emerge. They argued that if those checking the papers do not understand the questions and answers correctly, how can the students pass? It is noteworthy that the overall pass rate for the ninth-grade annual examination 2026 under the Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education Rawalpindi was 37.56 percent. A total of 121,739 candidates participated in the examination, of which 45,724 students passed while 76,015 failed. The pass rate for female students was 46.48 percent, while for male students, it was 27.99 percent. There were 184 schools with a zero percent pass rate, including 81 government schools.
