Chief Police Officer Hassan Mushtaq Sukhera has taken strict action, dismissing Constable Ihtisham for mistreating a citizen at the Gujar Khan police station; no violence or mistreatment of citizens will be tolerated, said the CPO.

Rawalpindi (Sanober Kiani) The process of stringent accountability in the Rawalpindi police continues under CPO Hassan Mushtaq Sukhera. On August 30, police constable Ihtisham was dismissed from the department for assaulting and mistreating a citizen at the Gujar Khan police station. Following the release of a video of the incident, CPO Hassan Mushtaq Sukhera immediately suspended Constable Ihtisham and placed him on the close line. Subsequently, a charge sheet was issued against the constable, and a departmental inquiry was conducted, leading to his dismissal after the allegations were proven.

CPO Hassan Mushtaq Sukhera stated that mistreatment or violence against citizens will not be tolerated under any circumstances, and police personnel are required to interact with citizens in accordance with the law. He made it clear that strict departmental action will be taken upon receiving any complaints of violence or mistreatment against any personnel.
